A powerful display from the Bath pack in greasy conditions helped the West country team move back into fourth place in the Zurich Premiership. Wasps took the lead through a James Brooks drop goal after 12 minutes but Chris Malone made it 3-3 at the break.
Three more Malone penalties gave Bath a 12-3 lead with 25 minutes to play before a searing Josh Lewsey break led to Mark van Gisbergen's penalty.
With 10 minutes to Van Gisbergen added another penalty but Bath held out.
Wasps coach Warren Gatland admitted his side had been handed "a good old-fashioned thrashing" in the 12-9 home defeat on Saturday.
But he was critical of the refereeing after Bath lock Danny Grewcock appeared to stamp on England team-mate Lawrence Dallaglio.
"We spoke to the referee at half-time, and he said it was a stamping, but not a malicious stamping," Gatland said.
"We need more consistency than that. We've seen the replay and it was definitely violent on Lawrence."
