Shoguns ground 'meets criteria'
Bristol's Memorial Ground
Bristol want to stay at the Memorial Ground
Bristol Shoguns director Nigel Pomphrey has assured supporters that their Memorial Stadium does meet the Premiership's entry criteria.

The Sunday Times claimed the Shoguns could be denied promotion if they win National League One because redevelopment does not begin until May.

Pomphrey told BBC Radio Bristol: "We're positive we fulfil all the criteria.

"It's unfortunate that we get this speculation from time to time because it only goes to antagonise."

Pomphrey also said talks with head coach Richard Hill and assistant Martin Haag over new contracts are continuing.

"They're moving on nicely and we're very positive," said Pomphrey.

"Richard is very keen to see the job through, he's done a fantastic job and he deserves all the plaudits for it."
