Bath are looking for a new scrum-half after Martyn Wood was ruled out for up to seven weeks by a hamstring injury. Wood failed a fitness test before the Powergen Cup win over Harlequins and, with Nick Walshe also injured, coach John Connolly is short of options.
"Young Mike Baxter and Sam Alford did well, but we will probably have to look elsewhere," he said.
When asked if he was looking for a southern hemisphere player, Connolly replied: "We have a few options."
