Diamond believes Saracens can drag themselves out of the mire |
New Saracens head coach Steve Diamond is confident he can be a success at Vicarage Road after being chosen to replace Rod Kafer. Diamond, who was previously Sarries' rugby manager, said: "I am very much looking forward to the role and the challenges ahead.
"I hope the experience I have of the Premiership will give me a good base to help move the club forward.
"We need to develop some consistency in our level of performance."
Diamond, a former Sale hooker, also coached at the Sharks before moving to Saracens in March. He believes he can turn around his side's poor start to the season, and feels the players can improve.
"We have a competent pack of forwards at this club and we win a lot of ball," Diamond added.
"What we need to do is develop an understanding of what it takes to win games in this country."
