Davey was injured during the second half of Saturday's 47-7 win |
Bath's injury crisis has deepened with the news that centre Spencer Davey will miss the rest of the season after damaging knee ligaments. Davey was forced off during last weekend's 47-7 win over Treviso and a scan has revealed that he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.
Bath already had 13 players unavailable before Davey's problem arose.
"Spencer's injury is a massive setback for a promising young man," said Bath head coach John Connolly.
"Spencer has been a key squad member this season and we would all like to wish him a speedy recovery."
Meanwhile Nick Walshe could miss Saturday's Powergen Cup tie against Harlequins after injuring his ankle in the Treviso match. Centre Alex Crockett is also doubtful after sustaining a shoulder problem.
However, Martyn Wood should feature after recovering from a hamstring injury while Jonathan Humphreys, Zak Feaunati, Danny Grewcock and Lee Best could also return.
