Davey injury deepens Bath crisis
Spencer Davey
Davey was injured during the second half of Saturday's 47-7 win
Bath's injury crisis has deepened with the news that centre Spencer Davey will miss the rest of the season after damaging knee ligaments.

Davey was forced off during last weekend's 47-7 win over Treviso and a scan has revealed that he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.

Bath already had 13 players unavailable before Davey's problem arose.

"Spencer's injury is a massive setback for a promising young man," said Bath head coach John Connolly.

"Spencer has been a key squad member this season and we would all like to wish him a speedy recovery."

Meanwhile Nick Walshe could miss Saturday's Powergen Cup tie against Harlequins after injuring his ankle in the Treviso match.

Centre Alex Crockett is also doubtful after sustaining a shoulder problem.

However, Martyn Wood should feature after recovering from a hamstring injury while Jonathan Humphreys, Zak Feaunati, Danny Grewcock and Lee Best could also return.
