Sale have appointed Jason Robinson as their captain for the new season. The versatile England star, who has played more than 80 games for the club since switching codes in October 2000, takes over from Pete Anglesea.
Director of rugby Philippe Saint-Andre said: "He has a winning mentality and I enjoy working with him."
Robinson, who has led the club as a stand-in captain, said: "It's a big responsibility for me but I am looking forward to it."
