Harlequins sign Molitika
Former Tonga flanker Maama Molitika
Molitika won the last of his four caps in 2001
Harlequins have signed Tongan flanker Maama Molitika from defunct Welsh side Celtic Warriors.

The 29-year-old, who was capped four times, joins on a three-year contract.

Molitika was part of the Bridgend squad that won the Welsh Premiership in 2003 and last season helped the Warriors to fourth place in the Celtic League.

"We were looking for someone with a degree of ball-carrying ability," said Quins boss Mark Evans. "I am very confident Maama will add real value."

Molitika is the second Warriors player to join Quins after the recent arrival of Lions wing Dafydd James.

The club expects to make two further "significant" signings before the start of next season.
