Wilkinson fit for Saracens match
Jonny Wilkinson looks on during Sunday's match at the Causeway Stadium
Newcastle fly-half Jonny Wilkinson has been declared fit for Sunday's Premiership clash against Saracens.

Wilkinson was an injury doubt after picking up a heavy bruise to his arm against Wasps but the England captain is named in the starting line-up.

The 25-year-old is only six games into a comeback after more than eight months on the sidelines with a career-threatening neck and shoulder problem.

"Physically, he's fine," said Falcons boss Rob Andrew.

Wilkinson took only a limited part in England's training session earlier in the week and sat out contact work with the Falcons.

But Andrew said: "He's got a dead arm.

"It is heavy bruising on his bicep, which he picked up in his comeback game against Connacht and is absolutely nothing to do with the injury he had before."
