Leota missed the first four games |
Wasps hooker Trevor Leota has returned to the club after missing the start of the season due to a visa mix-up. The Samoan had to return to New Zealand after it emerged his work permit requirements were not in order.
"I feel I let the club and fans down by missing almost a month of Premiership rugby," he said.
"While in New Zealand, I did manage to do fitness training by playing a few rugby league games. I watched what I ate to keep my weight constant."

Leota's visa problems emerged when the club was booking flights for the squad for their Heineken Cup campaign starting next month. His untimely absence did not please director of rugby Warren Gatland.
"I am disappointed we ended up with a situation that could have easily been avoided," Gatland said.
"We do try to monitor him as much as we can but we can't wipe his backside for him."
Leota has now secured a work permit and will apply for permanent residency in Britain.
"I knew if I returned unfit and overweight, 'Gats' (Gatland) would probably tell me to find another club," he added.
"Wasps is the only club I want to be a part of and I am thankful to be back."
Leota played an hour for Wasps' A team on Monday in a 45-0 Zurich A League win over Saracens.
