Leicester hooker George Chuter grabbed a hat-trick of tries as the Tigers thrashed Rotherham at Welford Road with a club record score. The home side ran in 11 tries with fly-half Andy Goode also going over twice and landing 10 conversions.
Centre Jonathan Pritchard touched down for Rotherham in the first half with Jason Keyter scoring a consolation try minutes from the final whistle.
The defeat leaves the Titans still seeking their first win this season.
Chuter scored his first try after two minutes and it took Leicester just 21 minutes to land their bonus point as they ran riot.
Rotherham lacked any pattern in defence and were stretched in all directions by the running of Geordan Murphy, and fly-half Jaco van der Westhuyzen.
And their cause was not helped when wing Giscard Pieters was sin-binned early on. The Tigers cruised to a 54-9 half-time win and were able to withdraw Martin Johnson, Van der Westhuyzen and Harry Ellis at the break.
The club's previous Premiership record, a 66-5 victory over Newcastle, was overhauled in the 61st minute when centre Daryl Gibson crossed the line for a try.
However, Leicester's new head coach John Wells believes the Tigers will have to be patient to in trying to achieve the standards Wasps' have reached recently.
"It could be four, five or even six years," Wells said.
"What we now have to look at is developing the players we've got, taking them through to a higher level.
"We have to do that along with adding some quality players of the ilk that Wasps have been getting, and that we've had in the past."
Rotherham's new head coach Ross Reynolds said: "It was not a good start but you've got to start somewhere.
"Leicester have some good players coming back, but I thought that we fought well to the end. That was shown with the last try.
"We showed true spirit by taking quick tap penalties when it would have been much easier to kick the ball into touch."
