Division One side Pertemps Bees shocked Premiership Wasps with a 28-24 victory in the Powergen Cup quarter-final. Bees' Mark Woodrow kicked 18 points while Nick Baxter and Aaron Takarangi scored tries in a famous win over the English league champions.
The Birmingham and Solihull part-timers will meet Newcastle at Kingston Park in the semi-final.
Wasps scored four tries from Michael Roberts, Stuart Abbott, George Skivington and Ayoola Erinle.
Warren Gatland's professionals were led by Simon Shaw in the absence of rested England skipper Lawrence Dallaglio.
England three-quarter Josh Lewsey was also left out alongside Craig Dowd, Mark Van Gisbergen, Alex King and Fraser Waters. But Gatland's big guns led 19-11 at the break after tries from Roberts, England centre Abbott and Skivington.
Baxter's try for the Bees on the stroke of half-time kept his side in the match after Woodrow's earlier brace of penalties.
But shortly after the interval, the Bees struck again through Takarangi, though Woodrow missed his second conversion to make it 19-16 to Wasps.
Two minutes later the second-placed side in the Premiership stretched their lead with Erinle's try.
But the boot of Woodrow dragged the Bees back into the game and his fifth kick sent them 25-24 ahead on 67 minutes. The Bees were controversially denied a late Woodrow drop-goal when the ball was ruled to have dropped short despite appearing to have cleared the bar.
But Woodrow was not to be denied his crowning moment and hit a late penalty to seal a sensational win.
