 Stimpson is Leicester's main goal-kicker |
Tim Stimpson has not signed a three-year contract with Perpignan, according to Leicester director of rugby Dean Richards. Perpignan president Marcel Dagrenat had earlier claimed a deal for the former England full-back was complete.
But Richards insists there will be a board meeting at Welford Road next week to discuss Stimpson's future.
"I know there has been an interest in Tim, but he is under contract with us until the end of the year," Richards told BBC Radio Leicester.
"I've spoken to Tim about it and he's quite happy at this moment in time with his position at this club. "He hasn't signed a three-year deal with Perpignan and that's where it is - just purely speculation."
The Tigers have already lost props Perry Freshwater and Franck Tournaire to Perpignan.
The Heineken Cup runners-up have also recruited Harlequins and England winger Dan Luger.
