Catt's new injury blow
Bath and England centre Mike Catt
Catt has been plagued by injuries recently
England international Mike Catt faces an anxious wait after limping out of Bath's Zurich Premiership defeat against Sale on Friday night.

Bath had gambled by selecting the versatile back, who has been troubled by an ongoing hamstring problem all season.

He missed England's recent internationals against New Zealand, Australia and South Africa and has been restricted to just a handful of appearances for Bath this season.

It was decided earlier in the week that he should be given a lengthy lay-off in order for him to fully recover from the injury - starting after the Sharks clash.

But he lasted just four minutes on Friday night before being forced to leave the field, hobbling off and then watching from the sidelines as Bath were beaten 36-18.

"It looks like Mike's hamstring is a major issue," said coach Mike Foley. "I'm not sure how serious it is. Mike has had ongoing problems in that area.

"There's nothing new about his injury - it's just that now it's a lot worse than it originally was."
