The 30-year-old insisted he never would never have wanted to leave the Watford-based outfit, even if they had been relegated to the National League. Sarries had just about avoided that fate before the English Rugby Board decided Rotherham would not be promoted to the top flight. With the likes of Scott Murray and Abdel Benazzi leaving Saracens this summer, England scrum-half Bracken's decison to stay has come as a timely lift.
French prop Christian Califano is set to confirm his arrival at the club next week, when Leicester fly-half Andy Goode should be unveiled as Sarries' latest capture. "I live and breathe Saracens and could never really contemplate playing elsewhere," said Bracken. "There has been more money on offer from other clubs but this is where I belong. "I'm confident that I will still be playing the same quality rugby in four years time but I'm just focused on next season. "We are building a strong team and I'm quite excited at the prospect of playing behind a powerful pack in September." | See also: 15 Apr 02 | English Top English stories now: Links to more English stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
