Connacht's recent good run came to an end as Aironi claimed their first Magners League victory of the season.

Tries from winger Kaine Robertson and hooker Gareth Krause, both converted, had Aironi 14-10 up ay half-time.

Connacht's try came from Ray Ofisa with Ian Keatley kicking five points, but a penalty from Tebaldi and a drop from James Marshall had the hosts 20-10 up.

Keatley landed a penalty but South African winger Danwel Demas crossed for the home side's third try to seal it.

Before this game, the Irish province had won six of their last seven matches in all competitions.
