Romania beat Uruguay 39-12 to clinch the 20th and final berth at the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

The Uruguayans had held Romania, who have qualified for all seven World Cups, 21-21 in the first leg of the repechage in Montevideo two weeks ago.

Romania go into Group B at the World Cup with 2003 champions England, Argentina, Scotland and Georgia.

Csabi Gal, Alexandru Manta, Catalin Fercu and Madalin Lemnaru all scored tries, and there was also penalty try.

Fly-half Danut Dumbrava added 12 points with the boot at the Arcul de Triumf Stadium in Bucharest.

Uruguay scored tries through Martin Crosa and Ivo Dugonjic despite the hosts dominating possession for most of the match.
