England v Samoa: England hope to follow up last Saturday's famous win over Australia with another victory but go 3-0 down to a penalty from Samoa full-back Paul Williams (centre)
But two penalties from Toby Flood (centre) put England 6-3 up before a try from Williams restores Samoa's lead even though he misses the conversion
Finally a try as Matt Banahan goes over after good work by Shontayne Hape and Chris Ashton before Flood kicks the conversion and a penalty to move England into a 16-8 lead
An interception from Matt Banahan followed by a blistering break upfield from Danny Care allows replacement Tom Croft to stroll over and make it 24-8 in favour of England
Fautua Otto crosses for Samoa late on but it serves only to give the Islanders' tally a more respectable look as England run out deserving 26-13 winners
Scotland v South Africa: An entertaining start at Murrayfield as Scotland hit back from 6-0 down to lead 12-6. Joe Ansbro (left) and Ross Ford (right) combine to tackle Jean de Villiers
Morne Steyn kicks his third penalty of the game for South Africa before the break to cut Scotland's lead to 12-9 at the interval and then levels the scores with another kick early in the second half
But ultimately Dan Parks proves to be Scotland's hero with nine more points, the fly-half wilfully tracking the flight of his last penalty that puts his side 21-12 ahead
Willem Alberts (centre) collects a line-out and powers past Rory Lawson (left) and Kelly Brown (right) to close the gap to four points and set up a tense finish with 10 minutes remaining
But Scotland hold on for a memorable 21-17 triumph and an understandably thrilled coach Andy Robinson embraces his captain Rory Lawson after the final whistle as euphoria engulfs Murrayfield
Ireland v New Zealand: It's tit for tat in Dublin as Dan Carter kicks three penalties to Jonathan Sexton's two to give the All Blacks a 9-6 lead but Carter doesn't have it all his own way and is doubled-teamed in the tackle
Ireland pressure pays off when Stephen Ferris crashes over, and after Jonathan Sexton converts the home side assume a 13-9 lead
Anthony Boric barges over and Dan Carter converts to send New Zealand in at the break 19-13 in front
The All Blacks are vastly superior to Ireland in the second half and run in three more tries, two by Kieran Read (left) and one from Sam Whitelock, to win 38-18
Despite Ireland's spirited showing, Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll, who scored an excellent pick-up try in the second half, is once again left to reflect on the gulf in class between his side and the All Blacks
