Henry Trinder signed a new deal with Gloucester in January
Henry Trinder scored two tries to help Gloucester to a bonus-point win over Saracens in the LV= Cup.
The game was effectively over by half-time, as Charlie Sharples, James Simpson-Daniel and Trinder all crossed to give the hosts a 24-3 advantage.
Further tries from Trinder and Olivier Azam stretched the Gloucester lead before Nick Wood was sin-binned.
Saracens took advantage in the shape of James Short's try, but could make no further impression on the scoreboard.
Gloucester head coach Brian Redpath told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "Saracens had a rough day so I'm not going to get carried away, but I'm delighted with the way the players conducted themselves today.
"Henry Trinder was poor last week. He needed to get back on track and do the basics well, which he did today. I was happy with his contribution.
"I'm delighted with the way the players have responded to having a little bit of time off. We know how important this month is for us."
