Four new faces arrive at Moseley

Moseley rugby club

Moseley have strengthened their squad ahead of the new Championship season by signing four players.

Second-row David Lyons, 25, has joined from Worcester after a loan spell at Billesley Common last season.

Paul Spivey, 24, is another second-row forward and a former England Under-18 player who arrives from Old Belvedere in Ireland.

Flanker Ben Pons returns to Moseley from Coventry and number eight Michael Ellery, 20, joins from Newcastle.

Pons came through the club's colts and development sides and played 14 times for Coventry last season while Ellery turned down the chance to move to a Premiership club.

All four new signings will link up with the rest of the squad in pre-season training ahead of the first league fixture of the 2010/11 campaign at home to Esher on Saturday 28 August.
