Elissalde won 35 caps for France and will now turn to coaching |
Toulouse and France playmaker Jean-Baptiste Elissalde has retired following his club's 21-19 victory over Biarritz in the Heineken Cup final. He was named on the bench for the final, having picked up a groin injury three weeks ago, but did not play. The versatile 32-year-old could play at both scrum-half and fly-half and was capped 35 times by France. He will take part in the Barbarians matches in June before joining the backroom staff at Toulouse.
