Glenn Delaney wants two more victories for Nottingham

Nottingham director of rugby Glenn Delaney believes his side are now only two wins away from securing a spot in the Championship semi-finals.

The Green and Whites face London Welsh at Meadow Lane on Sunday having beaten them away 29-12 last weekend.

Delaney told BBC Radio Nottingham: "Six points from the next two games is probably what we need to give us some comfort going forward to the semis."

Nottingham have won two and lost one of their opening three games in Pool B.

Last week's win over London Welsh came after the surprise defeat by Doncaster Knights.

And Delaney admits facing the same team on consecutive weekends can pose problems.

"It's a bit like a game of chess really, you're trying to think how they will counteract what we did and how can we expose things that we didn't last week," he said.

This Sunday, Delaney has key players Nic Rouse, Matt Parr and Andy Savage back from injury.

"There's good competition for places now," he said. "We want to get the best team out on Sunday to hopefully give us another win and keep us moving forward."
