England manage to turn things their way as a try by Dan Cole and a drop-goal by Wilkinson put them ahead but a second try from Bowe wins it for Ireland with five minutes to go
The result leaves Ireland in third on level points with England, while France have opened up a two-point lead at the end of the third round of matches, their Grand Slam hopes still very much alive

By the 33rd minute they find themselves back on level terms thanks to two successful penalty kicks from the boot of Dan Parks

The sides continue to trade kicks after the interval with Scotland even briefly taking the lead only for Pablo Canavosio to score a superb try with 13 minutes to go to put Italy back in charge
Bergamasco converts to make it 16-12 and they hold on for the win, leaving Scotland looking almost certain to end the tournament with the dreaded wooden spoon
