Walder kicked all Wasps' points as they won in the south of France |
Dave Walder kicked all 12 points as Wasps recorded an efficient but low-key win over Bayonne to preserve their 100% European Challenge Cup record. He kicked three penalties and one drop-goal with Cedric Garcia's penalty the only reply for the home side. Yellow cards for Serge Betsen and George Skivington meant the visitors played a quarter of the game one man down, but even that made no difference. Bayonne upped the pressure late on but by that point Wasps were well clear. Walder's commanding display meant that once again, the fit-again Danny Cipriani was confined to the bench. Wasps' victory over the French side, following their 22-18 win over the same opposition last weekend, puts them seven points clear at the top of Pool Four, with two games to go.
