Cullompton head coach Charlie Mahon praised his side's discipline following their 8-7 EDF Energy Senior Vase win over Tyldesley at Twickenham.
"At the end of the day we stuck at it. We were organised, we were disciplined and we were patient," Mahon told BBC Radio Devon.
"We've worked really hard as we know we're not the biggest of packs, but we held on to some clean ball.
"At this level of rugby, a Twickenham final, you have to take your chances."
He added: "We did everything, but we were just unable to increase the scoreline.
"But we focused and held on until that whistle went.
"It's a great success story - we have had so many messages of support from other clubs, so it's a great feeling to be able to cap the season off in this way, it's incredibly satisfying."
