Gavin Henson suffers before departing the fray at Coventry |
Lions boss Ian McGeechan has an anxious wait over injuries to South Africa tour candidates Gavin Henson, Mike Tindall and Ian Gough. The trio - along with James Simpson-Daniel - left the fray injured as Gloucester beat the Ospreys in the EDF Energy Cup semi-final in Coventry. Henson (suspected ankle) and Tindall (suspected knee) winced in pain as their injuries struck. All four players left during the first half of Gloucester's 17-0 win. | 606: DEBATE |
Gloucester boss Ryan said: "We lost Sinbad [Simpson- Daniel] at half-time and I didn't even know that 'til we came out and saw there were different people on the pitch." Ospreys boss Sean Holley said Henson's injury was not a recurrence of the calf and ankle problems he has already suffered this season. "It's the other foot," said Holley. "It looks like a bit of an ankle injury. "We don't know the extent of it, likewise Ian Gough, so we've got quite an extensive injury list now to contend with as well."
