HEINEKEN CUP POOL ONE Venue: Thomond Park Date: Friday, 16 January Kick-off: 2000 GMT Coverage: Live on Sky Sports One. Scores on BBC Sport website
Sale have made one change for their crucial Heineken Cup Pool One contest with champions Munster at Thomond Park. Richard Wigglesworth replaces Dwayne Peel at scrum-half, while Carl Fearns comes onto the bench, alongside England duo Andrew Sheridan and Mathew Tait. Munster's make just one change from the team that defeated Sale in October, with Denis Leamy replacing John O'Sullivan in the back row. Ronan O'Gara and Paul Warwick are both named in the champions' line-up. O'Gara missed Munster's trip to Swansea last weekend with a slight hamstring injury while Warwick was injured in that game but has since recovered. Warwick slots in at full-back in place of Denis Hurley, who is named among the replacements. | It doesn't get bigger than this weekend in terms of club rugby | Sale must win the game, otherwise - barring a mathematical miracle - they are out of the competition. "We have had a good run of late, but this is a huge test for us," said Sharks director of rugby Philippe Saint-Andre. "Quite simply, we need to win both our remaining games to stand a chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals. "We always knew it was winner takes all in Group A and that no team would qualify as a runner-up in this group. "But we have nearly 3,000 fans making the journey with us and I am sure they will give the players great support." Sale's in-form Mark Cueto, who has scored four tries in his last three games and starts at full-back, underlined the importance of the match to his side. He told BBC Radio Manchester: "It doesn't get bigger than this weekend in terms of club rugby. Since the last time we played there they've re-developed the stadium - it's now 25,000. "It's going to be packed full of crazy Irishmen screaming. It's fantastic. Everyone is looking forward to it. | The group is still wide open. Any of three can still win it Munster second-row Donncha O'Callaghan | "I think particularly so because of the way we're playing - things seem to have clicked over the past six to eight weeks with the team, we're playing some great rugby. "And the last two results in the Guinness Premiership have given us some good momentum going into the game." Munster second-row Donncha O'Callaghan believes his side face a formidable task. "They're a quality side, they really are," he said. "I watched them against London Irish and they were very impressive. "They have quality players right across the field, they're a big abrasive team, well able to put themselves about but at the same time they can play good rugby when they decide to. "The group is still wide open. Any of three can still win it - I wouldn't rule Clermont out although they have to travel to Sale. "So this is a cup final for both of us, simple as that."
