Vagas Ladies go clear at the top

Catrina Beswick scored Vagas' first-ever league try against Manchester.
Vagas are rapidly making a name for themselves in the world of Women's rugby

Vagabonds Ladies pulled clear at the top of North West Two with a 36-10 home win over Manchester.

Vagas skipper Fran Hunt led the way for her team with a hat trick of tries.

There were also scores from Abi Corkish, Sophie Iannou and Lizzie Lennon, as well as three conversions from Cat Beswick.

The emphatic win puts the unbeaten Vagas side two points clear of Manchester at the top of the table and with a game in hand.
