Bees lock receives three-week ban

Rugby Union

Birmingham & Solihull forward Alex Davidson has been handed a three-week ban following an incident in last month's game against Launceston.

He was sent off for a stamping offence during the National League Two fixture.

Davidson's suspension is back-dated to 20 October, which means he is eligible to return at home to Cinderford in the middle of November.

The lock had already been suspended by the club pending his appearance before the Rugby Football Union panel.

Bees have coped well in his absence, back-to-back wins against Blackheath and Westcombe Park having move them up to third in the League Two table.

Next up is a trip to strugglers Southend on Saturday.
