Worcester Warriors players Jo Yapp and Kat Merchant have both been named in the England women's squad for the European Sevens.

Wasps star Sue Day will captain the side in the tournament, which is to be held in Limoges, France.

Sixteen teams will compete in the event and England will play Sweden, Germany and Andorra in the pool stages.

England must finish in the top six to qualify for the inaugural Women's Rugby World Cup Sevens in Dubai next year.
