Bridgwater and Albion chairman Steve Smith says he is targeting promotion for the club next season.

"Our plan is to move ourselves at least into National League Two and [coach] Mike Tewkesbury is the man to achieve this for us," Smith said.

The club finished mid-table in National Three South last season after a disappointing start to their campaign.

"This is a rugby town with a long and successful history and it is a good time to get involved," Smith added.

"We will also be looking at potentially relocating the ground, which is obviously subject to members' approval, but the time is getting close to when we need more playing area."
