The Cornish All Blacks have signed Exeter Chiefs fly-half Adam Staniforth as they look to make an immediate return to National League One. Launceston joint coach Jon Hill says Staniforth, who can play anywhere in the backs, is a key addition. "This is seen as a vital signing for the club as we have lacked consistency in the number 10 jersey over the last 12 months," Hill said. Hill also revealed winger Matt Jess will be leaving the club. Jess has attracted interest from Premiership clubs and has been called up to the England Seven's training squad in preparation for the next two Seven's tournaments in London and Edinburgh. Hill has also revealed that he and fellow joint-coach Chris Brown have taken pay cuts following the club's relegation. "Whilst we know the challenges ahead are tough, we feel that the club is in a healthy position to make huge strides in the future, and the increases in crowds and off-field activities will ensure that we are financially stable in moving forward," Hill said. "Our re-building has started, and a number of new and exciting signings will be revealed in due course. "Our plan is to be very competitive in National Two next season, and look to bring in some quality replacements for those players who have moved on to pastures new," he added.
