Exeter Chiefs have signed Northampton prop Chris Budgen for next season. The tight-head has played across the front row during his seven seasons at the Saints and has a vast experience of the Premiership and Europe. "Chris Budgen should fill a hole superbly in that he can play in all three front row positions," said Director of Rugby Pete Drewett. "I'm ready for a new challenge and look forward to competing with the other props at Sandy Park," Budgen said. Budgen is the latest player to commit to the Chiefs for next season. Danny Gray, Josh Drauninui and Tom Johnson have already committed themselves to the club for a second season while Shane Kingsland, Sam Blythe and Ben Moon are also staying. The Chiefs have also signed Wales Sevens captain Richie Pugh, but at least six players will be leaving the club including centre Junior Fatialofa who is looking to play in the top flight.
