Ospreys must keep focus - Henson

Gavin Henson turns Andy Farrell upside down on his way to the line

Gavin Henson has warned the Ospreys not to get carried away with their emphatic 30-3 EDF Cup semi-final win over Saracens at Millennium Stadium.

The Wales Grand Slam star scored a try and was named man-of-the-match.

But as he looked ahead to the 6 April Heineken Cup quarter-final at Vicarage Road, Henson urged caution.

He said: "We worked hard again and carried on from where we left off with Wales. But we can't get too far ahead of ourselves."

He added: "We are very happy but we have got a return game against them in a couple of weeks and we play Ulster before that."

Henson was particularly pleased at denying the Saracens' attacking threat by preventing Alan Gaffney's men from scoring a try.

Having won the player accolade, Henson also promised himself a long-awaited hair-cut.

"It was great to stop them from scoring a try at the end," said Henson.

"I am just chuffed to win man-of-the-match. I haven't won one since 2005 and I haven't cut my hair since, so I'm going to get it cut now!"

Victorious coach Lyn Jones said: "I am very pleased. We controlled a lot of the game. It was exactly how we expected.

"We thought Saracens would have a big fired-up half-hour and we managed to quell that and come back strong.

"They made life very difficult and it was a close game at the start but we just moved away at the end and proved too much for them."

606: DEBATE

Saracens director of rugby Alan Gaffney had no complaints, saying: "We didn't need luck - we needed about five extra players on the pitch!

"They are a classy team, and we've not experienced such a hammering since I have been at Saracens.

"This will be a huge learning curve for us. Ospreys' pressure was very good and it put us under the hammer.

"We have got to do a bit of homework, but we believe we can turn it around (in the Heineken Cup). We wouldn't be in the competition otherwise."
