Curry will be with Spain for their matches against Georgia and Portugal |
Former North Walsham director of rugby Jon Curry has been appointed as a coach with the Spanish national team. Curry will be in charge of the forwards for the final two games of Spain's European Division One campaign.
The 47-year-old was snapped up by Spanish coach Jed Glynn after he found out he was no longer with Walsham.
Former London Irish and England A coach Glynn used to work with Curry at Rotherham and wasted no time getting in touch with him.
"He rang me up and asked if I could get involved," Curry told BBC Radio Norfolk.
Off the field, the ex-Viking coach is enjoying working with a variety of new players.
"Two of the players are actually classically trained baritones, the after match sing-song is absolutely unbelievable," Curry added.
