De Luca will miss the Calcutta Cup encounter at Murrayfield |
Scotland centre Nick De Luca will miss the Six Nations clash with England at Murrayfield on Saturday through injury. De Luca sprained his right ankle in Edinburgh's Magners League draw with Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade.
Scotland doctor James Robson said: "The injury is not as bad as first feared but Nick is unavailable for selection."
Lock forwards Nathan Hines and Scott MacLeod are carrying knocks, so Scott Murray and Craig Hamilton have been added to the squad as cover.
Dr Robson said Hines did not take part in training on Monday but should return the following day.
"Scott is still receiving treatment from the injury he sustained against Ireland and further discussions will take place tonight and tomorrow to determine whether he is available for selection," he added.
The Scots are joint bottom of the Six Nations table, with no points from three games.
England have four points, two behind leaders Wales.
