Exeter have needed prop cover since John Andress broke his leg in February and Chiefs director of rugby Pete Drewett says he is a welcome addition.

"Not only will Ryan boost our prop numbers but his time here will also provide him with some vital first team rugby experience."

Grant signed for Edinburgh at the start of the season from Border Reivers.

But the 22-year-old has struggled to dislodge Edinburgh's Scotland internationals Gavin Kerr and Craig Smith since being injured earlier in the season.
