Gloucester lock Alex Brown will miss their final Heineken Cup Pool Two match after breaking his arm during the 32-15 defeat by the Ospreys.
He faces up to two months on the sidelines following the injury.
Ulster's Rory Best will miss the game for the pool basement boys even though he has been named in Ireland's 32-man Six Nations squad.
Best has returned to light training as he recovers from an ankle injury he sustained on Boxing Day.
Ulster's caretaker coach Steve Williams has added Mark Bartholomeusz and Paul Steinmetz to his squad.
Otherwise, there are no changes from the squad which edged out Bourgoin at Ravenhill on Friday.
Gloucester head coach Dean Ryan told BBC Radio Gloucester:
"This is a big game for us in terms of what we can achieve by winning it. I'm sure they'll be highly motivated to cause an upset against us.
"They now know they have a new coach, they now know who they're working with and you can see they picked up a win last week.
"I think they've moved forward and they have certainly improved since our game out there.
"We've got to win a game and if we win the game then we'll look at who we are playing afterwards."
