New Zealand's reserve number eight Sione Lauaki has won his appeal against his two-match ban for a dangerous tackle on Romania's Gabriel Brezonianu. The tackle was originally deemed reckless but not intended to injure.
"The appeal committee concluded ... the judicial officer's conclusion that the attempted tackle was late could not be
supported," said an official statement.
Lauaki was left out of the squad for the quarter-final with France but is available if they reach the semi-final.
