Balshaw was part of England's World Cup-winning squad |
Iain Balshaw, James Haskell and Shane Geraghty have been named in a powerful England Saxons squad for the Churchill Cup, which starts later this month. The 38-man squad includes a total of 10 players from Leicester, Wasps and Bath, although they will not be available for England's opening game on 18 May.
They will miss the USA game at Edgeley Park because their clubs are involved in European finals on 19 and 20 May.
England's other pool game is against Scotland A at Twickenham on 28 May.
Jim Mallinder's squad includes 14 players with previous Churchill Cup experience and seven who were involved in this year's England Saxons victories over Six Nations opponents Italy A (34-5) and Ireland A (32-5).
Finals day is being staged at Twickenham on 2 June.
All six teams - England Saxons, New Zealand Maori, Ireland A, Scotland A, USA and Canada - will be in action in three back-to-back games.
