Corry led from the front as usual |
Leicester captain Martin Corry praised his side's perseverance after Tom Varndell's late try secured a thrilling Heineken Cup win over Stade Francais. "It was vital we kept playing the way we want to play. Credit to the guys for sticking at it," Corry told Five Live.
"We're very hard on ourselves when we lose but when we win and show tremendous courage, we have got to pat ourselves on the back.
"We will take this and work on upping the performance against Llanelli."
The Scarlets will be the Tigers' opposition in the semi-finals on 21 April
at the Walkers Stadium, where Leicester have been knocked out of the tournament in each of the last two years.
That fixture will reawaken memories of Leicester's 13-12 win against the Welsh side at Nottingham's City Ground in 2002, when Tim Stimpson's long-range penalty bounced off the bar and over to seal the win.
With Leicester already through to the EDF Energy Cup final on 15 April, and favourites to clinch a home semi-final in the Guinness Premiership play-offs, the dream of an unprecedented trophy treble remains alive.
"That's our goal," said coach Pat Howard. "It is a very hard goal, but we believe we have a squad that can attempt it.

"We want to fight on all fronts, and you have got to aim high in whatever competition you take part in." Leicester's win means there will be a record three English clubs in the Heineken semi-finals for the first time, following Wasps' thumping of Leinster and Northampton's shock win over Biarritz.
"It's a great statement isn't it?" added Corry, who defied an elbow injury to play his part before going off after an hour.
"Especially Northampton - all credit to them winning out there. We have our knockers and there is plenty of in-fighting, but it just goes to show we have got something to be proud of in England."
Stade coach Fabien Galthie said he had no complaints about his team's exit from the tournament.
"Credit to Leicester for their performance, but it is very disappointing for Stade Francais and for the French clubs in general that there are no representatives in the semi-finals," he said.
