It tells you everything that the man-of-the-match was Denis Hickie just because he did one try-saving tackle. There was no creativity from either team.

Ireland will be happy they've got the Triple Crown and they've got something tangible from the championship but a one-point victory, I don't think anybody was expecting that, quite frankly.

Today was better but Scotland were still not creating chances or finishing them off.

There was some good play - Sean Lamont had another great game. Scotland will take encouragement from a one-point defeat.

It was desperate really, wasn't it. It's funny, from an Ireland point of view, given where we have come to that, we could be almost upset that we have won the Triple Crown.

I never won a Triple Crown and I would absolutely have loved one. But I think we expect a bit more than that from the Irish team.

For me, the truth of the whole thing was that Scotland gave Ireland every single point they got. It wasn't really made by Ireland in any way, shape or form.
