Wales have returned to the front row that faced New Zealand

The Jones duo replace props Gethin Jenkins and Chris Horsman, with Sidoli in for Ian Gough at lock, meaning Alun Wyn Jones will be the front jumper.

Scarlets wing Mark Jones is over an ankle injury to start on the right wing in place of Hal Luscombe (knee problem), the only change in the backs.

Tom Shanklin is fit enough for a bench place, along with Jonathan Thomas.

Horsman, Luscombe, Gavin Thomas and Aled Brew drop out of the match-day 22 following that defeat.

Wales' front row is the one that started against New Zealand last November, Jenkins and Horsman brought in against Ireland to try to target their scrum.

Gough put in a hard-working performance in the loss in Cardiff, but he was an ineffective line-out option as the visitors stole set-piece ball.

The major criticism of Wales was the lack of a cutting edge in the backs, though.

Chris Czekaj may be considered somewhat fortunate to keep his place, having been at fault for all three Ireland tries.

Jones is the only change in the Wales back line

Luscombe is the man to miss out, though, the centre's lack of pace out wide and a niggling knee injury seeing him left out for Jones, whose finishing ability and angles of running always prove a threat.

"It's very much a reshuffling of the pack rather than a case of dropping players," said Wales coach Gareth Jenkins.

"A six-day turnaround between games is hard at the best of times, then we also have a travel day.

"Given that, I felt that selection was a way to re-energise the team, we'll see how it works out for us."

Scotland suffered a 42-20 loss to England at Twickenham last Saturday, and Wales assistant coach Nigel Davies expects an Edinburgh backlash.

"Scotland play a very open game and can be dangerous if given the opportunity, space and time. Our defensive plans have to look to that," Davies said.

"They will be bitterly disappointed with the end result at Twickenham, but they performed fairly well in the first half and really took the game to England.

"They'll be desperate to put in a big performance at home and will come out with all guns blazing.

"We're aware of the threat they pose and the intensity they bring to the game, but we have to concentrate on our own game."
