England forward Perry Freshwater was on the scoresheet as Perpignan comfortably overcame French rivals Castres in the Heineken Cup on Friday.

Perpignan crossed first with a penalty try before Freshwater crashed over and Colin Gaston also scored as the hosts wrapped up the game in the second half.

They had led just 9-3 at the interval after three penalties from Nicolas Laharrague.

Perpignan's win took them clear of Wasps and Castres in pool one.
