Smith replaces Phil Waugh in the Australia side |
Australia have made five changes in their pack for Saturday's Test against Scotland as they look to end their stuttering autumn campaign on a high. Prop Benn Robinson, hooker Stephen Moore, lock Al Campbell, flanker George Smith and number eight David Lyons all come into the starting line-up.
The Wallabies forwards were outplayed by Ireland in their defeat last week.
Scott Staniforth is selected at inside centre, with Lote Tuqiri returning to his usual position on the wing.
Captain Stirling Mortlock reverts to his favoured outside centre berth, while Mark Gerrard switches from the left to the right wing.
Saturday's match at Murrayfield will be the fourth Test in a row that Australia have changed their centre pairing.
Moore and Campbell are both making their first Test starts for Australia.
"It's about the six-day turnaround and we've also got a strong squad on this tour," said Wallabies coach John Connolly.
