Wales centre Mark Taylor says he intends to prolong his international rugby career for as long as possible. The 32-year-old will become Wales' third captain of the year when he deputises for Gareth Thomas and Michael Owen on the June tour to North America.
He told BBC Sport: "I'm here for them as long as they need me. It seems silly to retire in the professional era.
"You keep yourself to a level of fitness, and if the enthusiasm is there I'll keep going as long as I can."
Taylor won both his previous games as Wales captain, scoring a try in the victory over the awaiting US Eagles.
And after Wales' Grand Slam exploits this season, Taylor admits the pressure is on the tourist to return with two impressive wins over America and Canada.
"They're not amongst the top nations in the world but we cannot afford to take them lightly," said Taylor.
"There's no option other than to come away with two wins. The way the Six Nations went, the pressure is on us to continue in the same vain and improve things if we can."
