England could face the tough challenge of Argentina in rugby union's Churchill Cup this summer in Canada. The South Americans, ranked seventh in the world, are newcomers to the event which England competed in last year.
If England beat Canada and the Pumas defeat the United States in Edmonton on 19 June, they will face each other in the final on 26 June.
England, who will lose many of their key players to the Lions, were beaten in last year's final by NZ Maoris.
RFU Performance Director Chris Spice said: "The Churchill Cup is a tremendous opportunity for England to develop players.
"Last year's tournament was extremely competitive and proved a real test for the team.
"With the British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand this summer, the Churchill Cup will be a good chance for the England players not involved in the Lions to still take part in a competitive tournament."
