Injury has disrupted Michalak's year |
France fly-half Frederic Michalak faces a disrupted build-up to the Six Nations after limping out of Toulouse's 25-12 Heineken Cup win over Northampton. Michalak injured his right ankle in a tackle by Andrew Blowers and now faces several weeks on the sidelines.
"He felt a strain, not a tear," said physiotherapist Christophe Foucaud.
"We're now sending him for a scan to find out the exact extent of his injury and to see how long he will be out for but it looks like being several weeks."
Toulouse, who went top of pool three after Saturday's win, do not have another Heineken Cup game until the trip to Glasgow in January.
The 2005 Six Nations starts on 5 February, with holders France taking on Scotland and Wales meeting England.
"We need to find out if there is any damage to his fibula," added Foucaud. "That's what concerns us most."
