Tonderai Chavhanga scored six tries as South Africa trounced Uruguay 134-3 in East London, their biggest score in international rugby.

Zimbabwe import Chavhanga, who completed a three-year residency this year, broke Stefan Terblanche's record of five tries in a Test.

The Boks ran in a record 21 tries to eclipse their previous record victory of 101-0 against Italy in 1999.

Uruguay's only reply was a penalty from Agustin Perez del Castillo.

Bryan Habana, Solly Tyibilika and Albert van den Berg all scored two tries apiece while Percy Montgomery kicked six conversions and a penalty.

Jaco van der Westhuyzen also notched seven conversions.

The Boks will hoping they can show similar form when they face France in the first of two Tests in Durban next week.
