Jones' side were beaten in the opening Tri-Nations game |
Australia coach Eddie Jones criticised South Africa's tactics at the breakdown during their 23-21 Tri-Nations defeat by New Zealand. Jones, whose side face the Springboks on Saturday, attacked the way they had disrupted the All Blacks' flow of possession in Christchurch.
"They were able to slow the ball down at the breakdown and give themselves time to get up off the line," he said.
"You can only do that if you slow the ball down at the tackle."
Jones will name his team for the game on Wednesday, but has indicated his side would revert to a more expansive game for what promises to be a physical encounter.
"Certainly for us we'll want to play our more traditional attacking game and shift the ball around," he added.
"They've picked a pack, particularly a tight five, which are specialists in set piece and they've got a focus area of their game and they've done particularly well in most of their Test matches so far."
