Umaga slates All Blacks
Mils Muliaina
Muliaina scored one of the Probables' tries
New Zealand captain Tana Umaga has said he is disappointed with the form of the All Blacks ahead of the England Tests.

Umaga's comments came after his shadow New Zealand side, the Probables beat the Possibles 29-27 on Tuesday.

"It's going to be a hard call for the selectors. They really pushed us and as the favourite side we didn't have too many answers," said Umaga.

The squad for the first match of a two-Test series, in Dunedin on 12 June, will be announced on Wednesday.

Umaga's Probables were made to work hard for their win.

Fly-half Andrew Mehrtens, playing just his second big match of the season, was hugely influential after coming on to replace Carlos Spencer in the 56th minute with his side trailing 26-14.

Mehrtens began the move that led to him setting up winger Joe Rokocoko for the try that put the Probables to within a point of their rivals.

And with two minutes remaining, Daniel Carter kicked the winning penalty.

Probables' tries came from loose forward Jerry Collins, full-back Mils Muliaina, hooker Andrew Hore and Rokocoko.

While the Possibles, who led 19-14 at half-time, scored tries through Caleb Ralph and two coming from number eight Xavier Rush.
